What We Do

People in Harmony (PIH) is a membership organisation for mixed race people, families and couples. We have been providing information and support for over 45 years to members, researchers, statutory bodies and the general public. One of our aims is to influence and improve ways in which public services such as education, health, social care, and criminal justice are delivered to them through discussion and debate, research, campaign and the arts.

Education

Mixed race experiences and identities need to be reflected and acknowledged throughout the school curriculum.

Social Care

Essential for social care and health practitioners to learn more about how mixed race young people see themselves.

Health

Raising awareness of issues affecting the lives mixed race people, couples and families.

Justice

Provision needed for training to be made available on mixed race issues within the criminal justice system.
